Terms of Service

Last updated August 13, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of BlueBoard, a directory of skilled trades employers and job openings in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, together with any accounts, listings, job postings, career guides and BlueFile profiles offered through it (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You may browse the directory without an account. To create an account you must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you are under 18, you may only create an account with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, and you should not publish personal contact details you are not comfortable sharing with employers.

If you create an account on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to act for that company and to bind it to these Terms.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used to violate these Terms.

3. Employer listings and job postings

Employers may create a free company listing and post job openings. Listings and postings publish immediately and are not pre-screened or approved by us before they go live. By publishing content you represent that:

  • the company information, contact details and openings you publish are accurate and are yours to publish;
  • each position you post is a genuine opening or a genuine ongoing hiring need;
  • you have the right to use any logo, photograph, description or other material you upload or import; and
  • your postings comply with applicable employment, advertising and anti-discrimination laws.

We may edit, unpublish or remove any listing, posting or claim at any time, including where a listing appears inaccurate, duplicated, fraudulent, or claimed by someone who does not represent the company. Claiming a company listing you are not authorized to represent is a violation of these Terms.

Where you use our website-import feature, we retrieve publicly available information from the address you provide in order to pre-fill a draft listing for your review. You remain responsible for checking and correcting that draft before you publish it.

4. Job seeker accounts and BlueFile profiles

Job seekers may create an account and build a BlueFile — a structured profile covering experience, education, certifications and similar details. You choose what to include. Do not enter government identification numbers, financial account details, medical information or any other sensitive data; the BlueFile is not designed to hold it.

Your BlueFile is private to you by default. If you choose to make it visible to employers, or if you send or share it with an employer, that employer will be able to see the information in it and may retain a copy under their own policies, which we do not control.

An optional AI assistant can help you draft and improve parts of your BlueFile. Suggestions are generated automatically, may be inaccurate, and are yours to review, edit and accept. You are responsible for the final content of your BlueFile, and you must not represent qualifications, licenses or experience you do not have.

5. Career guides are information, not advice

Our career guides summarize publicly published labor statistics, licensing structures and typical career progressions for informational and educational purposes. Wage, job-opening and growth figures are national figures published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and are attributed on each guide. They are not promises or predictions about what you personally will earn, how quickly you will advance, or whether you will be hired.

Licensing, certification and apprenticeship requirements change and vary by state and municipality. Always confirm current requirements with the relevant licensing board, apprenticeship sponsor or school before you make a decision. Nothing on the Service is legal, financial, career-placement or educational advice.

6. No employment relationship or guarantee

BlueBoard is a directory and publishing platform. We are not an employer, a staffing agency, an employment agency or a party to any hiring decision, interview, offer, apprenticeship or employment relationship. We do not verify employers, job postings, wages, licenses, or the qualifications of job seekers, and we do not guarantee that any posting is current or that any application will receive a response.

Use ordinary caution. Never pay a fee to be considered for a job, and never send money, banking details or identification documents in response to a posting. Report anything suspicious to [email protected].

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • post false, misleading, fraudulent or discriminatory content, or content that is not a real opening;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-copy listings, postings or contact details, whether by tool or by hand;
  • use contact information from the Service to send unsolicited marketing or bulk messages;
  • impersonate another person or company, or claim a listing you are not authorized to represent;
  • upload malicious code, attempt to bypass access controls, or probe or test the security of the Service;
  • interfere with the operation of the Service or place unreasonable load on it; or
  • use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

8. Paid features and billing

Company listings and job postings are free. Optional paid placement (for example, Featured placement) is sold as a recurring subscription at the price shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, fees already paid are not refundable, and we do not provide credits for partial periods or for periods in which you did not use the placement. We may change prices for future periods with notice.

Paid placement affects where and how prominently a listing appears. It does not constitute an endorsement, verification or recommendation of that employer by us, and it does not guarantee applications, hires or any particular level of traffic.

9. Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the content you submit — your company details, postings, profile and BlueFile. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and publish that content for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service. For public listings and postings this includes displaying them to visitors and in search results. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in routine backups for a limited period.

10. Our intellectual property — all rights reserved

© 2026 BlueBoard. All rights reserved. The Service, including the BlueBoard name and marks, the site design, layout, code, compiled directory data, career guide text and other original material, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

You may view and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, or create derivative works from any substantial part of the Service, or extract or reuse the directory as a dataset, without our prior written permission. Third-party names, logos and photographs remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify those employers.

11. Third-party links and services

The Service links to employer websites, application pages, licensing boards and other third-party resources, and relies on third-party providers for payments, analytics, hosting and AI drafting features. We do not control those sites or providers and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of a third-party site is governed by that site’s own terms and privacy policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information in the directory, in postings or in the career guides is complete, current or accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlueBoard and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost wages, lost opportunities, lost data or reputational harm, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — including any hiring decision, job outcome, apprenticeship, training expense, career decision or dealing with an employer or job seeker found through the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case these limits apply only to the extent permitted.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BlueBoard and its operators from claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs arising out of content you publish, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or discontinue the Service or any feature, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address a breach of these Terms. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be brought to your attention where practicable. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not resolved informally, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction. Before filing anything, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
